Great Steakhouse!

Posted by jonrocky1 on 12/12/2009

I attend this restauant every year for my birthday, and they do a fabulous job. Having a cocktail in the newly remodled bar is a great way to start the evening. The steaks are always prepared just the way we like them. My wife and I usually order the dinner for two with steak, lobster, and crab. This is little pricy, but is well worth the quality and amount of food you receive. We never leave Washoe Flats feeling disppointed. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to eat a good steak, and enormous amounts of side dishes.

very disappointed

had reservations for 6 pm(did not need them as only about half full). the service was very slow and took almost 1 1/2 hours before we were served. very greasy food and the "unlimited beans" were dished out in single serving bowls one at a time for a group of 8. the wairtress brought 3 varities of bbq sauce soon after everyone was finished eating. pro-salad was good and fresh cons-slow service, mediocore and greasy food, expensive, not at all like the cattlemen's was

been going to cattlemens rest. chain for at least 12yrs. steaks can be very good ,big portions ,salad bar served at table, simple but good, breads good, seafood, shellfish has been spotty at the carson location. Teriyaki steak good,as are the mushrooms, 2lb. sirloin is a great deal under $20.00 great leftovers!!

Worth the drive

This is one of the best steakhouses in the Western U.S., I am certain of it. Worth the drive from Reno or Carson City. Giant portions of really good home-cooked style food. You will think you are on Grandpa's ranch.
